WELCOME TO CONNECTIONS
Connections cannot happen without engaging with each other in smaller communities. Currently, we have several vibrant communities available based on where you are in your life. We welcome you to join any of our communities as we dig deeper into the Word and build stronger connections with each other.
Our young-adult community meets on Friday nights. It's a great time to engage with the Word and bond with each other. We strive not only to understand how to study the Word but to also carry out what we learn just like the disciples did.
Our mission statement “For women to be complete in Christ so that they overflow as a witness to their family, friends and communities “
Colossians 2:9-10 “ for in Christ all fullness of Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.....”

The Lighthouse group meets every Friday night! We currently are studying Rick Warren's book "The Purpose Driven Life". Come and learn what it's all about!
SUNDAY VIBRANT COMMUNITY
Life is meant to be lived in circles, not rows. We are a mixed group of singles, young adults, and married couples (with young children) looking to connect in authentic relationships, deepen our faith and impact the world around us with the Love of Jesus. We also love to eat. We are currently going over "Radical Discipleship: 5 Defining Questions" by Edmund Chan. Come and join us as we eat and learn!
We offer children the opportunity
to discover faith in Jesus, formulate
their identity in Christ, and receive mentoring relationships with adults.
MEN'S COVENANT GROUP
The Men's Covenant Group is currently studying Edmund Chan's "Radical Discipleship"
Connections is an English congregation that is affiliated with the First Evangelical Church of San Gabriel Valley, a multi-cultural and multi-generational church started in 1987 with services conducted in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Through discipleship and vibrant communities, we learn what it means to connect with Jesus personally and as a body. We value building deeper relationships with each other in the community. Our vision is to multiply three healthy generations of followers to change the nation. Our mission is to reproduce mature and Spirit-led followers of Jesus.
LEAD PASTOR: KEN WONG
Pastor Ken graduated from CSUN with an Electrical Engineering degree and completed his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in the spring of 1990. He served as a youth intern at FEC SGV for several years before he became a minister to the English congregation in 1990. God has given him a dream to equip three generations of mature disciples to transform the nations.
He is married to Anni, his wife of 24 years. They are blessed with three incredible sons—Jeremy, Gabriel and Micah. His family enjoys watching many sporting events, especially basketball and soccer. They also love trying all different types of food.
We believe loving God is the center of our lives.

We believe spiritual maturity takes place in a vibrant community.
We believe in equipping every believer to use their God's-given gifts.
We believe in unleashing everyone to change their world.
